when I turn the card over I am passing blurry sheep along the Autobahn the sun blinding my eyes with silver sheen the pavement ahead seems matter of fact and dry disarray a long documentary no decorations no earrings on small ears no sweet rainbow lifesavers no snow no vixen in blue berry patches no holly prickles no upright piano for books of etudes to practice to someday play the Italian Concerto wrapped in brown paper there are dolls with hair washed with toothpaste and ruined I crawl under the coffee table to be in the dark to find something restless find warmth find kisses on my many faces I imagined on my way to Wilhelmshaven on the way— there to the cold Black Sea
