Jennifer Wheelock’s collaborative book of poetry, written with Cathy Carlisi and Beth Gylys, was published by Kelsay Books in 2022. Her poems have appeared in many anthologies and journals, including Atlanta Review, Chattahoochee Review, Diagram, Five Points Journal, Flycatcher, Inflectionist Review, Los Angeles Review, Muse, Post Road, Lake Effect, and River Styx. She and her spouse, Kat, split their time between Los Angeles and Mexico City.

Megan Merchant’s most recent book is Hortensia, in Winter, winner of the New American Poetry Prize (New American Press, 2024).
Prompts:
Write a poem about desire (or another vast emotion). Describe it with specific details, images, and/or objects.
Write a poem that begins with a term or an expression in a different language.
Write a palindrome poem.
